PLW 20/20: Gala book release party for Far Beyond the Gates at the University of Georgia Special Collections Library, sponsored by the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame and the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library. There will be a reading and autographing, and the event will include food and an open bar. It will also celebrate (and be held on) Williams’s 70th birthday.
March 18, 2020:
Philip will be spending the day on campus at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga. Undergraduate students there will be reading his first novel, The Heart of a Distant Forest, and Williams will present a reading and book signing of The Heart of a Distant Forest and his new novel, Far Beyond the Gates. He will have a meeting with students afterwards for a Q&A. A reading, which is open to the public, will be at 7 p.m. in the Hill-Freeman Library Community Room.
